Maintenance Lead
An exciting, hands-on Maintenance Lead role encompassing customer engagement, preventative maintenance, and breakdown response. You will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, manufacturing, and repairing all plant equipment as required. The role involves carrying out both scheduled preventative servicing and reactive breakdown maintenance of Hydraulic compactors in cardboard compaction and bonding.
In addition, you will perform a hands-on role while coordinating and supervising contractors, and organising both onsite and offsite works as directed by the Head of Operations or delegated representatives.
Your Responsibilities
In this role your diverse skills will enable you to troubleshoot and repair all types machinery, these may include hydraulics, pneumatics, cardboard compactors and shredders.
Maintenace Responsibilities
- Management of all maintenance activities in the area outlined by the Head of Operations
- Maintaining plant and equipment to legislative requirements and Australian Standards
- Working in accordance with procedures and work orders
- Maintain a maintenance log, schedule and daily log reporting all activities
- Consistent monitoring of machinery and plant equipment
- All repairs and servicing of hydraulic compactor machinery and conveyor belts, sprockets adjustment,
- Liaising with the site supervisor, suppliers, team leaders, customer service and managers
- Fabricating equipment and parts necessary for maintenance
- Operating mobile equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Working in conjunction with other maintenance employees
- Engaging and liaising with suppliers and contractors to perform
- Management of repairs and maintenance spend
- Inspection and review of new plant and equipment
Key Duties
- Maintaining machinery and equipment through servicing and preventative maintenance
- Fabricating parts/equipment as necessary or requested
- Communicating with suppliers, site supervisor, team leaders and managers manager to ensure the most beneficial outcome
- Performing frequent checks on machinery and plant equipment
- Decommissioning and commissioning of equipment
- Fork lift licence required
- Cert iii in mechanical engineering required.
